Cranberry Hot Toddy

We preferred pure cranberry juice in this recipe but it's possible to substitute the more commonly available cranberry juice cocktail  — simply omit the sugar called for.

Gin Coco

This Hawaiian drink can be made wherever fresh coconuts are available  — often in Latin-American markets and tropical regions of the U.S.

Hot Buttered Bourbon and Cider

Garnish this warming drink with lemon slices and a cinnamon stick.

Limoncello

Lemons have been cultivated on Capri for as long as anyone can remember. And as long as there have been lemons on Capri, there has been the lemon liquer known as Lemoncello. The bright yellow liquid tastes like sunshine in a glass, albeit with a kick. Most often sipped as a post-prandial digestif, it can also be savored as a late afternoon treat.

Raspberry Lime Rickey

We found that a small amount of Pernod in the rickeys added an interesting but unimposing accent. If you don't care for the flavor of Pernod, simply substitute an equal amount of additional vodka. Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less but requires additional unattended time.
