Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients

1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Preparation

  1. In a small pot over medium heat, combine the strawberries, sugar, water, lemon zest, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer, and stir gently until mixture thickens slightly.
