Orange-Maple Sauce

Make one of these sauces in the hot skillet after you have cooked chicken breasts or pork chops.

Ingredients

1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup maple syrup
Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or chili powder
Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Remove the cooked chicken or pork from the skillet. Turn the heat under the skillet to high, then add the chicken stock, orange juice, maple syrup, and red pepper flakes together. Let the mixture come to a bubble and reduce by half, until thick and syrupy, about 5 minutes. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the chicken or pork.
