Ingredients

1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups uncooked rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

  1. Melt butter in large saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, syrup, salt, and vinegar. Cook over high heat to firm ball stage. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients; pour into greased 8-inch square pan and chill. Cut into squares. Wrap each piece in wax paper.
