Ginger Marinated Sirloins—Ginger is an Often Overlooked Spice.

Cooks' Note

Serve with beans, asparagus, and a green salad. If you prefer to use fresh ginger, use about 2 tablespoons grated ginger.

Recipe information

  • Yield

    serves 4

Ingredients

2 cups Burgundy or other dry red wine
One 10-ounce bottle soy sauce
2 tablespoons ground ginger
4 garlic cloves, peeled
Four 3/4-pound loin strip steaks

Preparation

  1. Combine the wine, soy sauce, and ginger in a large plastic storage bag. Press in the garlic. Add the steaks, squeeze out excess air, and seal.
