    Makes about 3 pints

Ingredients

1 pound yellow onions, peeled
1 pound unripe apples, peeled and cored
1/2 pound green tomatoes, stemmed
2 cups (packed) fresh mint leaves
2 cups seedless raisins
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 cups cider vinegar
2 cups sugar

Preparation

  1. Grind onions, apples, tomatoes, the mint leaves and raisins in a meat grinder, using the coarsest blade. Place in a large pot with the salt, mustard and vinegar. Simmer over low heat about 1/2 hour or until vegetables are tender. Add sugar, turn up heat, cook until liquid is reduced to half and is slightly syrupy. Pour into hot, sterilized jars, cover and seal.
