How to Use Our New Buy Ingredients Button
1/5Step One: Find a Delicious Recipe
With 34,000 recipes on Epicurious, this should be pretty easy. This one's Thomas Keller's famous recipe for roast chicken. If you haven't tried it yet, it's a delicious way to test our new "buy ingredients" button.
2/5Step Two: Click the "Buy Ingredients" Button
At the bottom of the list of recipe ingredients, you'll see a button to buy the groceries you'll need to make the recipe. Go ahead and click it. It'll automatically detect what online grocers are available near you.
3/5Step Three: Go Shopping!
After clicking the button, a screen will pop up on top of your recipe, with all of the ingredients you may (or may not) need to buy. You can easily alter amounts and do some shopping from this screen.
4/5Step Four: Make Even More Adjustments!
Looking to double the recipe? Or cut it in half? Get the cheapest ingredients? Or only buy organic? With a click of a button, you can instantly adjust your list of items. Once you're set, you can click the button and send your selections to an online grocer near you.
5/5Step Five: Checkout (Or Shop 'Til You Drop)
Once you've sent the ingredients to the online grocery store, you can check out — or keep shopping, swapping out items, changing brands, and adding other groceries you might need. Whatever online store you've picked handles the payment and shipping. Happy cooking!
